Meet the Dog - Samson the Boxer-Pit Bull mix

Next up in our "Meet the Dog" series, I'd like to introduce Samson, the adopted Boxer-Pittie mix (be still my heart!). Sadly, Samson crossed the Rainbow Bridge after battling cancer. It's clear how much his family loved him.  (Left) Samson playing in the snow. Photo courtesy of Amanda Burgess. (Right) Samson's custom portrait About Samson How did you choose Samson's name?He came with that name and it definitely suited him. When was his birthday and/or "gotcha day"?Samson was dropped off at a kill shelter, and surrendered to a rescue, so we’re not sure of his exact birthday. In the first three years of his life, he was beaten, starved, and trained to kill – until my husband Gabe and his...

Barkbox Review for Large Dogs - August 2016

Greetings, from Luna! Here's my review of the August 2016 Barkbox for large dogs. My hooman surprised me with my first Barkbox, which came yesterday! What goodies awaited me in this delicious smelling box? "Hurry up and open it, hooman!" Hooman finally opened it after making me pose for a hundred photos. The first thing I grabbed was the  Mandarin Orange Ball ($9). This reminded me of those Kongs the hooman gives me. Except no peanut butter inside, yet. I'm sure hooman will figure out to stuff it with treats. "This smells so citrus-y and yummy!" There was also a cute squeaky plush carrot toy ($12). I love soft squeaky toys, but they don't seem to last long with me....
